An adventure of its kind that takes you to, two of the Kenya’s most popular Parks, Masai Mara and Nakuru. Masai Mara is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves together with Serengeti and its widely considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including flamingos. This tour that can be booked throughout the year. The two parks do not disappoint, there is a lot to see at any given time of the year.

SUMMARY ITINERARY

Day 1: Picked up at JKIA Airport and driven to Lake Nakuru N. Park staying at L. Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Breakfast then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve staying at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Full day at Masai Mara Staying at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Breakfast then drive back to Nairobi, dropoff at the airport.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

You will be met by Kedi Trail Representative at your hotel or at the JKIA Airport upon arrival who will give you a briefing concerning your safari. He/she will also introduce you to your driver/guide.

You will then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. You will then take a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park

The park lies in Central Kenya, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.

You will later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Breakfast then drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves.

Masai Mara is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular eco-systems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.

You will arrive in time for lunch at Serena Mara Safari Lodge. After lunch, you will have an afternoon/evening game drives and later return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Option 1

Morning breakfast and exit the camp with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara National Reserve in search of the Big 5. You will later return in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Alternative 2

Morning game drive and then return for breakfast. You will then freshen up and take off for a mid-morning game drive. You will return for lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure like swimming in the pool, more game drives take place in the evening in search of more animals. After sunset you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

You may also choose a morning Balloon ride (Optional) where you will be picked-up and transferred to the balloon launch site. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon. The actual ride starts at 6am.

On your way back to the lodge, you will pass through the Maasai village. Have an Afternoon game drive. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast you exit the park with game drive. You will have a stop over at the Great Rift Valley escarpments and later be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
